So, to know the database name of your WordPress website, follow the given procedure.

  • Login to cPanel and get inside File Manager section.
  • From the file list, get inside the WordPress installation directory.
  • Find wp-config.php file and right click over it.
  • Then click over View to view the contents of the file.
  • You will get the database name associated with your WordPress website.

The above given procedure helps you to get the database name associated with your WordPress website.

Now, let us proceed forward with the steps to change WordPress username and password in cPanel. Follow the below given procedure to do the same.

  • Login to cPanel and get inside phpMyAdmin section.
  • On the next page, list of all database will appear.
  • From the left panel list, select the database associated with your WordPress website.
  • List of all the tables will appear in the right panel.
  • Select the table wp_users and proceed.
  • On the next page, click over Edit given with the table.
  • Enter the username and password in the user_login and user_pass section respectively.
  • Select Function as MD5, as this will encrypt the password.
  • Scroll down and click over GO to save the changes.
